Munley Law to Host Webinar Series to Discuss Business Interruption Insurance Claims
Pennsylvania personal injury firm Munley Law will host a webinar series for small businesses to discuss business interruption insurance claims. The first webinar will be in partnership with the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, May 14, 2020 and will feature attorneys Daniel Munley, John Mulcahey, and Melinda Ghilardi of Munley Law.
The novel coronavirus has prompted orders for non-essential businesses to close their doors, causing small business owners nationwide to lose revenue. In order to survive, many have turned to their business interruption insurance policies, only to have their claims denied.
Six states including Pennsylvania have introduced legislation that would extend business interruption coverage to include closures forced by a global pandemic. Meanwhile, multiple lawsuits have been filed against insurers who have refused to pay, and more are sure to follow.
Munley Law is currently pursuing compensation on behalf of a number of Pennsylvania businesses including restaurants, bars, hair salons, auto repair shops, retail stores, and others whose business interruption claims have been denied.
