Award-Winning Children’s Book Seeks to Help At-Risk Youth Through Kickstarter
Mark Olmstead, award-winning children’s author, is announcing the 2nd edition of a remarkable children’s book ‘The Adventures of the True Sunbeam’. With this first book, the author received the international Best Indie Book Award for it’s support in building confidence and self-esteem. In it he shares the life-long gifts of literacy in a rhyming universal journey of discovery with a unique family bonding activity included after the story. This activity encourages positive journaling while creating a family keepsake and a guide to the child’s true gifts. New 2nd edition updates will incorporate early brain development specialist’s advice to serve even younger kids, making the best even better!
“My goal is to use the distribution of the book to help as many kids as possible develop a better self image than I had as a kid. I struggled with confidence. I often ‘wasn’t good enough’ to please my ‘perfection’ oriented dad (which I’ve learned is a product of low self-esteem.)
My resulting lack of confidence followed me to school, making me a target, like countless others, for being bullied. This ‘hereditary’ low self-confidence syndrome is no longer necessary!
