Author Carlin Hertz Releases Book “The Uprizing” on Amazon
Alexandria, VA, USA – May 1, 2023 – Carlin Hertz, author of “The Uprizing” is a forty-seven-year-old father of three sons. Hertz says, “I have had a passion for writing since I was seven. My mother would make me write book reports in the summer. I would have to go to the library, read a book and then write about it. So, her influence has never faded.” The author experienced deep darkness and sadness in 2018. The COVID-19 Pandemic didn’t help, and he found himself slipping further and further into depression. Things for Hertz could have ended far worse. Instead of allowing his depression to destroy his life and family, he sought therapy, which ultimately led to him authoring “The Uprizing,” a book of poetry about his life after his therapist suggested he journal his thoughts and feelings. “I speak on my depression, thoughts of suicide, and lack of finding love to redemption, hope, dating, and ultimately finding love,” says Hertz. “Poetry helped me deal with the darkness and sadness that overwhelmed me. So, with the advice of my therapist, she told me to express myself in writing. Through this journey, you will see the poetry go from pain to redemption to love.”

Carlin Hertz was born and raised in the DMV (D.C., MD, and VA, for those unfamiliar). His love of writing began as a child when his mother made him author book reports over the summer. When Carlin Hertz is not writing, he enjoys scuba diving, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, cooking, and performing in LIVE comedy sketches and stand up. He has three adult sons, a dog named Aspen, and resides in Northern Virginia.
