British friends come to Qihe for visit and cultural exchange
Toby and other two British friends recently came to Qihe, Dezhou for a visit, survey and cultural exchange. They visited the martial arts hall, academic exchange center, cultural corridor and school history exhibition hall of Yipu High School. They were deeply impressed by the beautiful campus environment and school spirit after learning information about infrastructure construction and special courses offered.
Tang Tri-Color Glazed Ceramics, which prevailed in Tang Dynasty, are fine works of China’s ancient pottery firing techniques. They are rich in unique cultural and humanistic value. By appreciating Tang Tri-Color Glazed Ceramics, the three guests directly experienced fine traditional Chinese culture.
As an artistic form of Chinese characters, calligraphy is the most effective embodiment of Chinese culture. Instructed by teachers and students of the school, the foreign friends practiced Chinese calligraphy and felt the charm of Chinese art.
Tai Chi, a type of traditional Chinese martial arts, combines forms of art and exercise. It is one of the treasures of fine traditional Chinese culture. Toby and other British friends practiced Tai Chi on the school playground, experiencing traditional culture and enjoying physical and mental pleasure.
After the tour, the British friends had an informal discussion with faculty members of Yipu High School on education, culture, etc. The two parties exchanged cultural gifts after the discussion. Qihe presented calligraphy works to British friends.
