Sino-Adhesive showcases PUR hot melt and TPU lamination solutions at ITM 2026 in Istanbul
Jiangmen, China – August 15, 2026 – Guangdong Sino-Adhesive New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (Sino-Adhesive) exhibited at the ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, held June 9 to 13, 2026 at the Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey. ITM is one of the larger international gatherings in the textile machinery and materials sector, drawing equipment manufacturers, material suppliers and professional buyers. Sino-Adhesive used the event to present its textile lamination range to buyers from Turkey and the surrounding region.
The exhibit covered four areas: PUR hot melt adhesive, PUR hot melt adhesive formulated for high-permeability fabrics, TPU film and fabric lamination systems, and application examples drawn from apparel, footwear and functional textile production. According to the company, that selection reflects a deliberate focus on breathability, bond performance and process compatibility rather than a single general-purpose product line.
Adhesive performance in sportswear and functional fabrics extends beyond adhesion alone. Manufacturers working with highly breathable textiles need bonds that hold without materially reducing air permeability, and they need peel strength that does not come at the cost of surface flatness or visual consistency in the finished garment. The products shown at Booth 115D were positioned against those constraints, particularly for activewear and outdoor functional gear.
Process compatibility formed the second theme of the display. Sino-Adhesive presented lamination systems rather than adhesives in isolation, an approach intended to ease integration into existing continuous lamination lines, where equipment, temperature, line speed and material structure all interact. According to the company, development work is organized around specific substrates and end uses, on the basis that different structural layers require different adhesive systems.
Conversations at the booth pointed to a shift in how buyers evaluate suppliers, the company reported. Questions centered on compatibility with existing material structures and lamination equipment, stability in the final product, and the availability of ongoing technical support, rather than on price alone. The company characterized the pattern as a move from general material procurement toward application-specific selection.
“Buyers at ITM were not asking us what our adhesive costs. They were asking whether it will run on their line, on their fabric, at their speed,” said Leon Peng, Sales Manager at Guangdong Sino-Adhesive New Material Technology Co., Ltd. “That is a harder question to answer, and it is the one we would rather be answering.”
Sino-Adhesive reported that the exhibition opened new discussions with overseas buyers in functional textiles, apparel lamination and footwear bonding. The company said it will continue development and optimization work on PUR hot melt adhesives and composite lamination solutions across a range of substrates, processes and end-use environments.
