Lawnade Lawn Care Opens Rochester Hills Location, Bringing Year Round Crew Jobs to Northern Oakland County
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – August 7th, 2026 – Lawnade Lawn Care has opened its third Metro Detroit location, at 1950 S. Rochester Rd., and is now accepting customers in Rochester Hills, Rochester, Auburn Hills, Utica, Washington Township, and northern Troy.
The company, owned by Michigan based Alvarez Brothers Inc., provides weekly mowing, edging and trimming, spring and fall cleanups, mulch and landscape bed maintenance, and seasonal weeding. It has operated in Royal Oak and Grosse Pointe since 2022, where its two locations hold more than 300 customer reviews averaging 4.9 stars.
The Rochester Hills branch will be led by Nick Gerard, who joins as General Manager after four years running crews in the green industry across Oakland County.
“Rochester Hills has the kind of properties we do our best work on, and it has a lot of homeowners who want the same crew showing up every week instead of whoever answered the phone that day,” said Tom Alvarez, owner of Alvarez Brothers Inc. “We are not trying to be the cheapest company in this market. We are trying to be the one people stay with, the one where somebody walks outside and says this is what real service looks like. We get a little better every week, and our reviews show it.”
The location will also anchor Cookies Christmas Lights, the company’s holiday lighting brand, which begins serving Rochester Hills area homes in the 2026 season.
Running both brands out of one building is the reason the company can offer something uncommon in landscaping, which is a full year of work. Most lawn crews in Michigan are laid off when the mowing season ends in November and rehired in April. Lawnade moves its field staff onto Christmas light installation through December, then into takedowns in January.
“The seasonal layoff is why good people leave this industry,” Alvarez said. “If you can pay someone in December and January, you keep them in May. That is most of what running a good crew comes down to.”
